Tony Musto was a kind, gentle-hearted, and generous man who loved showering the children in his life with toys and treats. Whether it was a Kinder Egg or a small toy he found at the dollar store on his lunch break, Tony was always thinking of the kids. He showed his unwavering support by attending every event he was invited to, including piano recitals, soccer games, days at Tinkertown or the arcade, or simply spending time fishing together at FortWhyte. His love for children was truly unparalleled.

Tony passed away unexpectedly on October 24th, 2023, at the age of 58. He leaves behind a large and loving family who miss him deeply.

In honor of his memory, we have established the Tony Musto Memorial Toy Drive to ensure Tony’s love for gifting little ones with toys continues.

This year, we are proud to support Rossbrook House, located at 658 Ross Avenue in Winnipeg, Manitoba. For over 48 years, Rossbrook House has been a safe place for children and youth. It is open 365 days a year, offering programs, activities, and daily meals. It is a place where kids can simply be kids, participating in programs such as free drop-in music lessons, Camp Maskwa, and Pow Wow practices, as well as special outings like beach days and fishing trips.

Rossbrook House is currently in need of toys suited for children aged 6 through the teen years. Please consider donating a new, unopened toy to any of our drop-off locations by December 5th, 2024.

As of October 2025, we are excited to announce that the Toy Drive will also be supporting the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre, located on Austin Street North, just a few doors down from the Musto family home. The Centre began as a grassroots empowerment project in 2000 and has grown into a vital community hub where women and families can gather safely, build friendships, and access essential resources. Guided by compassion, cultural safety, and community leadership, the Centre continues to support healing, safety, and empowerment for the women of North Point Douglas.

We encourage you to visit Rossbrook House and the North Point Douglas Women’s Centre to learn more about the incredible work they do for children, youth, and families in our city.
